New instruments are introduced which expand the tools available to researchers concerned with growth and morphology of the head and face. In addition to the descriptive chapters, the authors demonstrate methods for analyzing and interpreting the data collected through these techniques, including studies of normal populations, as well as analysis of clinical dysmorphology. The clinical application of anthropometry in the design of surgical reconstruction of congenital and traumatic anomalies of the head and face is presented through a series of increasingly complex case studies illustrating a variety of procedures.
